Valeo Foods UK, the Irish multinational behind Kettle Chips, Rowse Honey, Batchelors and Jacob’s, has appointed Ogilvy UK as its lead agency, spearheading both creativity and strategy following a review.
The selection process kicked off in January as part of Valeo Foods UK’s plans to consolidate creative work across the portfolio, marking the next phase of its ambitious growth plans in the next year.
The company has a portfolio of over 50 international food brands which are sold across 90 countries globally, and combines food production, brand development, distribution and sales. It has annual revenues of about €1.2bn.
Ogilvy UK’s winning idea integrated its behavioural science offering into the advertising and social remits, with the aim of ensuring creative output would solve business challenges for Valeo Foods UK brands and respond to its unique customer painpoints.
Valeo Foods UK chief marketing officer Michael Inpong said: “Following a rigorous and innovative process, we are delighted to have chosen the Ogilvy UK team to help us on our next phase of growth.
“Throughout the process the team showed passion and energy, married with strategic excellence and distinctive creative ideas. We’re looking forward to this new partnership and the opportunity it will bring for our brands.”
Ogilvy UK head of strategy, advertising Matt Waksman added: “What’s better than having a cupboard full of the nation’s best loved snack brands? Working with them too. We’re delighted to be bringing the best of Ogilvy together and partnering with the team at Valeo Foods UK to support the growth of such iconic household names.”
