The Mission – the marketing services company behind 15 agencies including Big Dog, Bray Leino Yucca and Story – has signed a deal worth up to £14.5m for Krow Communications, the agency co-founded by former IMP boss John Quarrey.
The deal will see The Mission integrate Krow with Big Dog and share offices in London although both will retain their own brand and leadership teams, reporting directly to The Mission’s board.
Krow’s clients include DFS, Ferrero, Sky Vegas and Fiat. It has an income of £8m, and a team of 65 people. Big Dog clients include Barclays, Aviva, Pret, Mazda and Vax. It has offices in London, Norwich and Leicester and has about 135 staff in total.
David Morgan, executive chairman of The Mission, said: “Krow’s team members share our values and their position in the market, strategic expertise, creativity and strong senior team will complement our portfolio of agencies and increase our important foothold in London.”
Krow co-founder Barry Cook added: “The acquisition by The Mission is all about building our capabilities and those of the group to meet future client demand. This is a rare and valuable opportunity to become part of a group that has such complementary people and services to those at Krow.”
