Indicia chief joins Thorpe start-upIndicia co-founder and data specialist Mike Fisher has joined his former college Alan Thorpe at start-up business Conversation Glue, just three months after the business was launched.
Fisher, who takes on the role of data scientist and joint founder, had two spells at Indicia, and was one of the launch team when the agency was launched as Entire in 2000.
He quit after eight years to set up his own consultancy but rejoined in 2010 when Entire bought his business and merged with Marketing Databasics to form Indicia.
As chief futurist, he designed and built the Interact database for Indicia, and has also worked on Nissan, ITV, Axa, Majestic Wine, Shop Direct Group, Yorkshire Building Society.
Fisher started his career in 1989 at mail order giant Kays, where he was database marketing manager. In 1996, he joined Safeway and was part of the team that launched the ABC loyalty card, and developed a CRM programme for Safeway Stores.
Two years later he joined Colleagues Direct Marketing as database director before setting up Entire with managing director Ian Stockley.
